BUILDING A COMMUNITY OF CYCLISTS

DUNCAN LEMMON
President

"It was on my 7th birthday that my mother came home with a used, light green CCM bicycle for which she paid $15. When I calmed down enough to actually ride it, the feeling was nothing short of life changing." Duncan has never looked back since those first rides in rural Calgary, Canada.

A lifelong cyclist, he served many years as President of Velo Club LaGrange, and was in that post when the club was named Club of the Year by USA Cycling.

Duncan has captured gold medals in the California and Nevada State Senior Games and raced in the Senior Games Nationals in 2009.

BOB RASNER
Co-founder

After his first Senior Games competition, Bob originated the concept of GMC to encourage older cyclists to become more active in their sport.
Bob completed five California AIDS Rides (one on a tandem with daughter Amy), and AIDS Vaccine rides across Alaska and Montana. He is a multiple medal winner in California and Nevada Senior Games and 2008 National Senior Games. He has ridden the Tour of Ohio twice, once with his wife Marie on a tandem.
Most memorable cycling accomplishment? Teaching my grand children to ride.
BILL BIRRELL
Co-Founder

Bill Birrell is the youngest founding member of GMC, and he likes to go long! He is a 3 time finisher of the TransAlp Stage Race, multiple winner of the California Triple Crown and a member of the Thousand Mile Club. He is also a USAC Level 3 Coach. In that role he has been an invaluable resource to our Senior Games racing group.

"The best thing about GMC is the people and Skip's beer."

"Hardest thing I have ever done on a bike? Pedaling 1 legged from mile 300 to 350 on Furnace Creek."
